Black Embossed Leather Care

Our products are made by hand with the utmost attention to detail. Slight differences between the items are part of their nature and make each one of them unique.

Made of embossed full- grain leather.

Before first use, treat the leather with an impregnating agent to increase the durability of the material. Protective creams and other preservatives reduce the hydrophilic properties of the leather and minimize the absorption of moisture, liquids, oils, and fats. As a result, it will be easier to clean any contamination off the item.

Clean the leather before each subsequent impregnation. Use a damp cotton cloth, optionally with special detergents for removing dirt from this type of leather. Do not allow excessive moisture. Once dry, the item can be greased with cream, wax, or another product designed for full-grain leather. Do not use any chemical substances  such as solvents, polish removers, gasoline  to clean or preserve the leather.

Above all, avoid contact with water. Try not to expose the item to rain. If you do get caught in bad weather, always wipe off the item immediately after with a  dry cloth. Dry it off at room temperature, far from any heat sources. Do not use an electric dryer. Extended long-term exposure to heat and sunlight can cause irreversible deformation and color fading.

Watch for discoloration that may occur on the leather, especially if it becomes waterlogged.

We recommend impregnating the item every three months.

To prolong the lifespan of the item, it’s best to store it inside its cloth dust bag. You may also want to stuff it to avoid deformation.

Avoid carrying overly heavy objects, as they may deform the item and stretch the leather.
