Patchwork Leather Care

Our products are made by hand with the utmost attention to detail. Slight differences between the items are part of their nature and make each one of them unique.

To preserve all qualities of leather we encourage you to take special care of your item.

Above all, avoid contact with water. Try not to expose the item to rain. If you do get caught in bad weather, always wipe off the item immediately after with a dry cloth. Bad weather, humidity, and heat can damage the leather irreversibly. Watch for discoloration that may occur on the leather, especially if it becomes waterlogged. Dry it off at room temperature, far from any heat sources. Do not use an electric dryer. Extended long-term exposure to heat and sunlight can cause irreversible deformation and color fading.

Clean the leather using a dry or slightly dampened (warm water is best) delicate cotton cloth. While cleaning, make sure that the item does not get too damp. Always dry it off completely.

Do not use any chemical substances such as solvents, polish removers, gasoline to clean or preserve the leather.

Before the leather comes in contact with light-colored fabrics, wipe it down with a dry, cotton cloth.

To prolong the lifespan of the item, it’s best to store it inside its cloth dust bag. You may also want to stuff it to avoid deformation.

Avoid carrying overly heavy objects, as they may deform the item and stretch the leather.

The metal finishings might get scratched, discolored or fade with repeated use. Creases and wrinkles on leather may appear with time.

Suede is a fragile leather, particularly when exposed to outside elements, which means it needs extra care. It also has the tendency to lose its texture and color over time. This is a natural process that can’t be completely avoided. Water droplets or moisture can damage the suede irreversibly. Before the suede comes in contact with light-colored fabrics, brush it down with a soft brush. Please note that the product may stain, especially if wet.
