Plain Leather Care

Our products are made by hand with the utmost attention to detail. Slight differences between the items are part of their nature and make each one of them unique.

Made of plain full grain leather.

Since this type of leather is a delicate material it’s covered with a special protective layer which preserves it from scratches, still after some time, some natural wrinkles and marks may occur, as it’s a natural process.

This type of leather doesn’t need to be waterproofed. However, to preserve all its qualities, we encourage you to take special care of your item. Creases and wrinkles may appear with time.

Clean the leather using a microfiber cloth.

Bad weather, humidity, and heat can damage the leather irreversibly.

Above all, avoid contact with water. Try not to expose the item to rain. If you do get caught in bad weather, always wipe off the item immediately after with a  dry cloth. Dry it off at room temperature, far from any heat sources. Do not use an electric dryer. Extended long-term exposure to heat and sunlight can cause irreversible deformation and color fading.

To prolong the lifespan of the item, it’s best to store it inside its cloth sack. You may also want to fill the bag to avoid deformation.

Keep the bag away from any heat sources. The use of an electric dryer or other similar heat sources can damage the leather. Extended long-term exposure to sunlight can cause irreversible color fading.

Keep the bag away from other leather products, never store it in a plastic bag, these materials can cause color transfer.

Avoid carrying heavy objects, as they may deform the item and stretch the leather.

The golden stamp is very delicate, be careful not to touch it too often, the letters might come off.

Do not use any chemical substances such as solvents, polish removers, gasoline to clean or preserve the leather.

Before the leather comes in contact with light-colored fabrics, wipe it down with a dry, cotton cloth.

The metal finishings might get scratched, discolored or fade with repeated use.
